Varous Locations Liverpool

North East Members are invited join us for a special tour of the Liverpool Biennial, one of the largest and most exciting events in this country’s contemporary visual arts calendar.

Liverpool Biennial is the UK’s largest as well as one of the most exciting contemporary visual arts events, and with just under a million visitors in 2008, it is one of the best attended in the world.

For this year’s event, the organisers present Touched, a major international exhibition taking place across a range of venues and public spaces across the city. Six curators have been asked to respond to the question of how art can touch the viewer.

Join us for an exclusive tour of Touched. The day will also include a visit to the Walker Art Gallery to view the John Moores Painting Prize and their major new contemporary acquisition Journey to the Lower World by artist Marcus Coates. This work was acquired with the support of the Contemporary Art Society.

There will be a small charge to cover transport around Liverpool.
