4 December 2010 14:00 — 16:00
Leeds Art Gallery and the Henry Moore Institute

North East Members are invited to join us for a closer look at two major exhibitions taking place in Leeds — the Northern Art Prize at Leeds Art Gallery and Undone — Making and Unmaking in Contemporary Sculpture at the Henry Moore Institute.

At Leeds Art Gallery, Curator of Exhibitions Tanja Persig-Marshall will provide an insight into this year’s short listed artists for the Northern Art Prize. Artists Alec Finlay, Lubaina Himid, David Jacques and Haroon Mirza have been selected by a panel, which included collector Richard Greer, and journalist, broadcaster and author Mark Lawson.

Next door at the Henry Moore Institute we will join Assistant Curator Sophie Raikes for a tour of Undone: Making and Un-making in Contemporary Sculpture. This exhibition focuses on sculpture that lies on the threshold between the made and unmade and includes work by Jim Lambie and Eva Rothschild amongst many other artists.

This is a North East Members event. For further details of this event and Contemporary Art Society North East Membership please contact Rebecca Morrill, Head of Collector Development, North East - rebecca@contemporaryartsociety.org
