Emerging from the Cleveland International Drawing Biennial, mima has established an important drawing collection, which includes gifts from the Contemporary Art Society through the Special Collections Scheme and most recently, work by post-war American artists in collaboration with the Drawing Center, New York, acquired through a major award from Art Fund International.
This spring, mima is the recipient of a special lot at Material Worlds, the Gala Dinner and Auction for the benefit of the Contemporary Art Society. Join mima’s Director, Kate Brindley, to celebrate the new acquisition and also hear about the current art exhibitions, including Carey Young.
The event will also be an opportunity to find about a selection of the most exciting artist-led galleries and initiatives in Teesside.
