The Arts Council Collection is the largest national loan collection of modern and contemporary British art, comprising over 7,500 works.
At this special event, Caroline Douglas will discuss the collection in the context of the current exhibition at the Hatton Gallery, Another Face: Works from the Arts Council Collection, in which the seemingly traditional genre of portraiture is examined and reinvented in media ranging from painting to Polaroid and sculpture to 16mm film, including work by Hilary Lloyd, Melanie Manchot, Rosalind Nashashibi, Mark Neville, Lucy Skaer and Toby Ziegler.
