Curator-led Tour — Tatton Park Biennial 2010

Evacuate
28 August 2010 14:00 — 16:00
Tatton Park Knutsford, Cheshire WA16 6QN

For the second Tatton Park Biennial, 20 artists have been invited to create new work in response to the notion of ‘Framing Identity’; examining the Park and its environment as a living and evolving subject rather than an historical keepsake.

Participating artists include Kate MccGwire who graduated with an MA from the Royal College of Art in 2004, and has since exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery as well as completing residencies in Nanjing
and New York.

MccGwire has created a spectacular installation in
the Mansion Kitchen with thousands of locally sourced feathers (each from a bird that would have been cooked in the house) spewing from the oven and consuming the space.

Members are invited to join Curators Danielle Arnaud and Jordan Kaplan for a tour of the Mansion and Formal Gardens, and an opportunity to meet some of the artists.

Please note members will be given free entry to Tatton Park.

This is a North West Members event. For further details of this event and Contemporary Art Society North West Membership please contact Mark Doyle, Head of Collector Development, North West - mark@contemporaryartsociety.org
