Artist Talk — Laura Lancaster

Newcastle-based artist Laura Lancaster’s work can be found in high profile public, corporate and private collections, including The Government Art Collection, UBS Bank Collection, and The Zabludowicz Collection. She is best known for her figurative paintings and drawings based on anonymous found photographs.

Coinciding with her major solo exhibition at The Laing Art Gallery this autumn, a solo exhibition of her new paintings will be presented at Workplace Gallery, alongside a curated group exhibition featuring works be other artists represented by this leading artist-run commercial gallery.
