The Consultancy team recently curated a loan collection for the newly opened Circle hospital in Bath.
Circle Hospitals are committed to transforming the patient experience and redefining healthcare. Their art programme was commissioned by Rory Coonan, Head of Design and Architecture for Circle’s sister company Health Properties and a former Head of Architecture and Public Art at the Arts Council. We have worked with Rory on Circle Bath since the Norman Foster designed building opened in 2009.
Earlier this year we curated a new loan collection of contemporary artworks. Many of the new pieces encourage contemplation and provide welcome moments of humour and wit within the hospital environment.
The new collection includes work by Tim Renshaw, Axel Antas, Bobby Patmore, Carole Graslan, Nadine Feinson, Jane Ward, Daniel Andersson and Fiona MacDonald.
A BBC news report on the hospital design, including the artworks, can be viewed here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8569732.stm
